History of 300 Clifton
300 Clifton B&B is the most important historical house in Minneapolis. It is on the National Register of Historic Places because of the 1906 owner, Eugene J Carpenter’s, involvement in the establishment of the Minneapolis Institute of Art.

300 Clifton is one of the city’s most precious landmarks. Noted on the National Register of Historic Places the mansion is recognized as the finest example of Georgian Architecture in the state of Minnesota. Privately owned, operated, and a staple in the Loring Park community, the mansion is often the backdrop of neighborhood events and special occasions.
The Drawing Room
Overlooking the English gardens, the Drawing Room is, without a doubt, the most beautifully decorated room in the mansion. With hand-painted tropical murals, gold plaster inlays, and heavy ornate wood carvings this room will certainly take your breath away.
The library
One of the most special rooms in the Mansion, the library has many original fixtures and furnishings. With rich warm earth toned fabrics and colors, and it’s ornately carved fireplace you’ll be immediately taken back to a pivotal time in Minneapolis’ History.

Location
300 Clifton Mansion Bed and Breakfast is located on a quiet street in the heart of the Minneapolis Mansion District, and is within walking distance of the downtown core. Access countless restaurants and nightlife, walk to a Twins game or the famous Hennepin Theater District. It is easy to hop on the interstate from the Historic Mansion District, and MSP Airport is only 20 minutes away.
Check-In
For your convenience the mansion is staffed day and night. Your simple, straightforward check-in occurs at the office, centrally located on the estate. Your concierge questions can be answered in the office, or through a simple text from your room.
Parking
As a guest, you have access to the safest and cheapest hotel parking in Minneapolis. Our parking area is convenient to your room, in the middle of the gardens of the estate. The street is so quiet that some people elect to use free street parking in front of the mansion.
